What it is
A board, a gate, and a room that reads your export
Editing works differently from clipping and the difference is deliberate. There is no per view rate here. A client lead is posted, you apply, and if you qualify the client's contact arrives in your direct messages. What you charge is between you and them.
The work
How a lead becomes your client
The board hands over a contact, not a contract. Everything after that is yours.
You apply
One button on the lead. You give a portfolio and your current capacity, and the application is recorded against that lead's seats.
The gate decides
Hold the Editor role, seven days of tenure, no live strike, under three contacts claimed this week, and a free seat left on the lead. All five have to pass. Miss one and it queues to a staff card for a human to read, with no promised turnaround.
The contact is released
It arrives by direct message. From there the work and the money are between you and the client. Cast does not take a cut of it and does not set your rate.

Two things stated plainly. Editing has fewer rooms than clipping right now, and the curated list above is what is confirmed rather than everything that exists. And Cast publishes no editing rate, because it does not pay editors. It introduces them to clients and the gate is what protects that introduction from being spent carelessly.
