The standard

Four promises small enough to keep

Clipping pays well and is run badly almost everywhere. Payouts land late. View counts come from the people who owe the money. Rejections arrive with no reason. These four are the fix, and they are written as behaviour so you can hold us to them.

Pay first, explain later

The payout goes out on schedule even when the reconciliation is messy. Disputes get resolved after the money has moved, not before.

Counts in the open

Every view number you are paid on is one you can independently verify. No internal dashboard nobody else can see.

A rejection comes with a reason

Never a bare no. What failed, what would pass, and whether it is worth re cutting rather than starting over.

Say the number

Rates, caps, minimums and timelines are published before anyone cuts a frame. If a rate is unknown, we say it is unknown.

What comes back

A submission lands in one of three states

Every clip you submit gets one of these, and each one comes with the reason attached. The colours below are the same ones used on the submission in the server, so what you read here is what you will see there.

Approved

The clip met the brief. It starts accruing on verified views from the public count on your own post, and it pays on the schedule published in that campaign's brief.

On hold

Something needs checking before it can accrue. Usually the view count is still settling or an asset needs confirming with the client. A hold is told to you as a hold, with what is being checked and roughly how long.

Rejected

The clip did not meet the brief. You get told what failed, what would pass, and whether it is worth re cutting the same footage rather than starting over. Never a bare no.

Payouts

How the money actually moves

Written plainly, including the part that is not finished yet.

  1. 01

Views accrue on the public number

Earnings are calculated from the view count showing on your own post. You can open the post and check the figure yourself before anything is paid. There is no internal dashboard that only staff can see.

  2. 02

    The minimum is real

Below 1,000 views a clip pays nothing. The floor exists so the count is worth verifying at all. Above it, every thousand views pays the published rate up to the cap.

  3. 03

The cap is per clip, not per campaign

One clip stops earning at $300, which lands at 375,000 views on the current rate. Your next clip starts again at zero. Nothing about the cap limits how many clips you submit.

  4. 04

Payout runs on the campaign's own schedule

The date is published in that campaign's brief before you cut anything. Proof of each payout goes in the public payout channel where every member can see it.

The honest part. Zero clips have been paid through Cast so far, so the payout path has been built and not yet exercised at volume. That is why the schedule lives in each campaign brief rather than as a sitewide promise. When a date is uncertain we say it is uncertain instead of inventing one.

Questions

Every question, answered plainly

Do I need a following to start?

No. You post on your own accounts and get paid on the views the clip gets, not on the audience you brought. Plenty of clippers start from a new account.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing. There is no course, no membership and nothing to buy. The server makes money from campaign budgets, not from clippers.

When do payouts go out?

On the schedule published in the campaign brief, with proof posted in the public payout channel. If a date is ever uncertain we say it is uncertain rather than inventing one.

How are views verified?

From the public view count on your own post. You can open the post and check the number yourself, which is the point. There is no internal dashboard that only staff can see.

Why is a clip rejected?

Usually the brief was missed on a specific point, for example an asset placed wrong or the wrong source footage. You get told what failed, what would pass, and whether it is worth re cutting.

Can I use the same clip for two campaigns?

No. A clip is submitted against one campaign. Cutting the same footage differently for a different campaign is fine.

What editing software do I need?

Whatever you already use. Most people in the server edit on CapCut on a phone. The free course inside covers hooks, captions, editing and posting from zero.

Is $0.80 per 1,000 views good?

It is at the lower end. The band across the category runs roughly $0.50 to $2, with a few above $3. WinGram is the campaign that is signed and live, so it is the rate that is published. When a higher one is confirmed it goes up here.

Read the standard, then decide

Nothing on the other side of the door asks you for money. The rate, the minimum and the cap are all published before you cut a frame.
